Tree Surgeon/Climbing Arborist Wanted - Burmuda

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated climber for our tree operations.

The post combines the day to day duties and responsibilities associated with a small tree care operation and carrying out tree surgery and associated duties on site. As well as day to day tree surgery and felling duties the successful applicant will be flexible and open minded working in a diverse environment and expected to:

Ensure all company policies and health and safety regulations are being met.
Liaise with customers and exterior contract mangers.
Liaise with other Brown and Company staff to plan and schedule work load, manpower and equipment.
Assist in the management of the tree units vehicles, equipment and tools and their maintenance and servicing, etc.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff.

Bermuda is a small and isolated island and can get very hot and humid in the summer so the successful applicant will need to be flexible and adaptable to island life.

Preferred Skills

The successful applicant will meet the following:
Climber/Tree Surgeon with at least 3 years experience climbing and mewp operation.
Must have recognised qualifications and/or operators certificates.
Must have a current, solid grounding in all techniques and aspects of pruning, rigging and removals.
Must have proven experience in the care and operation and maintenance of a wide range of associated equipment.

Should have a valid First Aid Certificate and a strong grounding and understanding of all current and relevant Health and Safety practices.
Utility qualifications would be a benefit.
Previous experience training junior staff would be a benefit.
