About the job

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the as a Senior Climber. The successful candidate will be based at our Operations Center in Hockley Heath, reporting into our Director overseeing essential areas of the department.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee and manage field operations pertaining to the Arboriculture Team

-Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project success and completion on time

-Monitor progress and quality of work

-Provide guidance and support to staff

-Strong knowledge and experience with modern Arboriculture techniques

-Excellent organisational and time management skills

-Strong leadership skills

-Attention to detail to guarantee quality workmanship

-Problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that arise during projects

-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Skills

-A full and clean UK driving license

-Eligibility to work within the UK

-Have planning and organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines

-Have good communication skills

-Have experience of attending meetings with clients at a senior management level

-Report writing and departmental budgeting skills

-Competent in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), AutoCAD, ArborCAD and GIS

-Applicants should hold a suitable qualification (e.g. FdSc Arb, BSc or Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture or higher or closely related field) and membership of the Arboricultural Association or the Institute of Chartered Foresters

-Previous experience of undertaking tree condition surveys, BS5837 survey’s and reporting, with a proven track record in writing tree reports suitable for planning applications (appropriate to grade)

-Understanding of health and safety related issues regarding site survey and supervision

-Level 5 Arboricultural qualification or higher

-Desired: LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector Certificate
