JBA is seeking a proficient and dedicated Team Leader Arborist to complement and enhance our flourishing team. Our operations primarily centre around Banbury and its neighbouring counties. We proudly serve a diverse clientele, including local authorities, large and small commercial enterprises, and residential customers, offering a comprehensive range of tree services. We are in search of an exceptional individual who can lead a team effectively, whether from the ground or as a climber. The ideal candidate should possess a deep passion for delivering top-quality work and maintaining excellent customer relationships. We expect our chosen candidate to exhibit impeccable knowledge and expertise in arboriculture and health and safety practices, ensuring that all tasks are executed to the highest specifications, with an unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency.

Preferred Skills

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in team leadership
  • Full UK driver's licence
  • Basic NPTC ground-based and aerial qualifications, including CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39
  • Proven track record in all aspects of tree work, with the ability to demonstrate climbing and tree surgery skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Additional qualifications such as Chipper, CS32, CS40, CS41, IPAF (MEWP), Chapter 8 (signing, lighting & guarding), First Aid + F, rough terrain forklift licence
  • Level 2 or above Arboriculture qualification is also desirable, along with a solid industry understanding and practical experience, including expertise in pruning techniques in compliance with BS3998:2010, tree identification, and rigging skills
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to PUWER, COSHH, HAVS, LOLER & RIDDOR
